What a great summer we had. The time flew by.
We went 5-pin bowling and Miss C was super happy when she knocked over a pin. Miss S did really well and scored the highest – 137!
In July we took a trip to Vancouver for a few days. The weather was beautiful and we all had a wonderful time exploring. The girls loved the aquarium and beaches. We all enjoyed the science centre and the Capilano Suspension Bridge.
On my father-in-law’s birthday, we took a trip out to Bar U Ranch National Historic Site. This was one of the first large scale ranching operations in Canada. The girls loved the Percheron horses. Visitors explore the historic buildings on the ranch and can see how the cowboys lived. We all thoroughly enjoyed our day out.
In August we took our annual trip to the local amusement park. The girls had such a fun time together as Miss C is now tall enough to go on some of the “big girl” rides. Miss S was very brave and joined me on her first rollercoaster ride. The day was a little rainy, so it kept most of the crowds away. My husband and the girls even went on the water log ride 3 times at the end of the day!
Our final trip of the summer was to Jasper. This is about a 6 hour drive from we live, high up in the Rockies. It is such a beautiful place. We stayed in a cabin and after exploring all day we sat by the fire reading or we were outside in the evenings roasting marshmallows. It was very relaxing.
How was your summer?
