The kitchen is the heart of the home and it can quickly get out of order and become messy. A tidy kitchen really makes a difference in how clean your house feels. Here are six quick steps to a clean kitchen.
6 Quick Steps To A Clean Kitchen
Step One: Put Away Any Food
Put any food items away in the pantry or fridge (for example, cereal boxes, jam jars, egg cartons, butter). Store leftovers in containers and place in the fridge.
Step Two: Put Items Where They Belong
Put items into a basket that belong in another area of your home. This will clear the clutter from your countertops. If you have a willing helper, ask them to put the items away where they belong. Don’t allow yourself to get distracted by putting these items away now.
Place any trash into the garbage can and recyclables into your kitchen recycling container.
Step Three: Wash Dishes
Load the dishwasher (if you have one). Run a sink of hot, soapy water and wash all your dishes and pots/pans. Place them on a drying rack. Once done, dry them with a dishtowel (or ask a willing member of your family to help) and put them away.
Step Four: Wipe Down Surfaces
Clean the table and countertops with an all-purpose cleaner. Quickly wipe down cabinets and walls if necessary. Wipe down your stove top. Clean the exterior of appliances and buff with a microfiber cloth or polishing cloth.
Step Five: Sweep The Floor
Sweep up any crumbs on the floor and spot clean any little messes.
Step Six: Take Out The Trash
Take out the trash and any recycling.
