Mother’s Day Fun

May 8, 2011 by Debbie Leave a Comment

Today was Mother’s Day and Miss S and I decided to make play dough. We had a lot of fun.

Playdough

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups salt
  • 6 tsp cream of tartar
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Food colouring

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Blend all liquids together in a saucepan. Add dry ingredients to the liquids and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat when dough pulls away from sides and can be pinched without sticking. Turn onto parchment paper on your counter and knead until smooth. Add food colouring if desired.

This is a great recipe. It’s easy to make, stores really well and Miss S loves to play with it.
