Happy 2019!

I have been giving some thought to my goals for the year and I wanted to share them with you.
My Goals For The Year
Personal
Adding fun exercise into my daily routine. I love to walk and when the weather is good, I will often go outside and walk around my neighbourhood. I will still do that this year, but I’d also like to practice yoga and do some dance videos with my girls. My youngest loves to do the Just Dance videos and this would be a lovely activity to do together. I find as I am getting older that I’m not able to bend as easily as I used to. My body certainly doesn’t have the range of movement that I had a few years ago. I think yoga and stretching would make a big difference for me.
Lose 15 pounds. I am not at a weight that I am comfortable with. I won’t share numbers, but I know that I would feel better carrying fewer pounds. I have tried various diets before, but I find them restrictive and not easily applicable to my everyday life. I don’t want to do a specific diet, but start gradually including more whole foods (fruits, vegetables, lean meats and nuts) into my everyday eating. I definitely over-indulged during Christmas and I need to cut back on the desserts and treats!
Make more time for self-care. Like many other moms, time is a limited commodity for me. I am feeling pulled in many directions in my life. Being intentional about carving out some time for myself each day will help keep me from feeling overwhelmed.
Practice kindness. Towards myself and others.
Family (Motherhood and Marriage)
Create memory books/ photo albums for each of my girls (starting with 2018 and working back to their year of birth).
Schedule one date a month with my husband (outing) and weekly at-home dates.
Take a vacation together.
Enjoy one-on-one time with each of my girls each week.
Homemaking
Declutter my entire home – one drawer / cabinet / room at a time.
Write out a household inventory.
Be more intentional about using the food I have in my home. I shall waste less food and purchase fewer items for my stockpile.
Blogging
Post on a regular basis (ideally once a week).
Update my website (new theme / possibly a new hosting company).
Stop comparing my blog to others. We are all at different stages in our blogging journey and I want to get back to blogging for the pleasure of it. I don’t want to blog just to increase page views and social media engagement. I would love to build a community of women who are enthusiastic about homemaking and help inspire you to enjoy all of life’s simple joys.
What are your goals? I would love to know what you are working towards this year.

Debbie, thanks for reminding me time is running out to set my goals for 2019! I don’t like to be “spammy” and include links to my blog in a comment, but I happen to have two posts that could very well help you with your personal goals. https://www.delightfulrepast.com/2016/09/sugar-toxin-or-treat.html and https://www.delightfulrepast.com/2018/04/intermittent-fasting-168-its-not-just.html Eliminating food waste is one of my goals. I’m getting better at it, but I’d like to eliminate it completely. Thank you for the inspiration! #HomemakingParty
