Orange Spice Simmer Pot Recipe

October 1, 2014 by Debbie 5 Comments

Fall is here!

orange cloves and cinnamon sticks

Now it’s time to make the house smell yummy.  Simmer pots are a great way of adding moisture to your home (to combat dryness) and to make your home smell delicious!

Orange Spice Simmer Pot

1 or 2 oranges sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
1 tbsp of whole cloves

Add ingredients to a pot (or crockpot) of simmering water.  Top up the water as necessary throughout the day.

Create your own flavors by adding or omitting ingredients such as vanilla extract, star anise, cranberries, allspice or ginger.

I love simmering cinnamon on the stove in the winter. I’ll have to try adding oranges this year! Thanks for the great idea!
