- 2 sticks (1 cup / 250 ml) butter
- 1 cup (250 ml) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) cocoa powder
- 1 tsp (5 ml) baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups (500 ml) brown sugar
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) pure vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350F (180C). Melt the chocolate and butter in a heat-proof bowl set over a small pot of simmering water, stirring constantly. When the chocolate and butter have melted, whisk until smooth.

Pour batter into a lightly oiled and floured 9″ x 13″ pan. Bake for 25 – 30 minutes.
Enjoy!

Love brownies, but have never made them with brown sugar……..interesting. The first time I made a red velvet cake it was made with brown sugar so I always look at others and see what the ingredients are. The cake was wonderful so sure the brownies are……………..Andi
