Happy Monday! How was everyone’s Christmas? We had a quiet, relaxed Christmas spent with family. I had a bad headache during Christmas Day, so I wasn’t up to doing as much as I normally would. I’m feeling much better now and have plans to enjoy this last week of holidays with the girls.
Breakfast time … what is on the plate this morning:
Waffles and tea.
On today’s to do list:
- Laundry
- Inventory pantry / freezer
- Write grocery list
- Grocery shopping
- Play games with the family
- Watch Miracle on 34th Street
- Celebrate my husband’s birthday
Currently reading:
Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Imperative by Eric Van Lustbader (one of my Christmas gifts)
The weather outside is:
Snowy. It snowed last night and is still lightly snowing. It’s about -6C. It looks pretty outside, but the roads are slippy today.
On the menu this week:
- Monday: Dinner out (husband’s birthday celebration)
- Tuesday: Maple salmon with rice, asparagus, peas and corn
- Wednesday: Shepherd’s Pie
- Thursday: Chinese takeout (to celebrate New Year’s Eve)
- Friday: Roast lamb with roast potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower, cheese sauce, mint sauce and gravy
- Saturday: Dinner out (girls’ treat downtown)
- Sunday: Leftovers or spaghetti bolognese with salad
Looking forward to this week:
Taking the girls to visit downtown on Saturday.
