Five minutes is what generally takes me to do the dishes after breakfast. I measure it careful because every minute counts for an non-morning person like me. ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Great ideas!

You are absolutely right here. Adding little things like this into the day will make me feel more productive. Its not good to sit all day anyhow! I’m going to make an effort to get off my computer more and do some little 5 min tasks while I am up and about.

    Your list cheered me on!

I am definitely one of those people that is task oriented. I will list to myself those things I’ve done throughout the day, even saying, “I made the bed”, “I did my hair and make-up”, and it does make me feel like I am accomplishing things!

    Thanks for sharing!

Great list, there are so many things that take so little time but make us feel we really achieved something. Thanks for sharing this at Good Morning Mondays, I especially like the hug a child one. Blessings

Great list! I am a multi-tasker so I could definitely relate to your list. It really does make you feel like you accomplished a lot if you can do more than one of these!

Well, when you put it in a list like that it seems very doable. Sometimes it really helps to just break it down. My problem is I let my lists overwhelm me and then I end up doing nothing. Thanks for the motivation.

I use the minute challenge (How long is this going to take really?) when I need to do something I don’t want to do. Often it’s only 5 or 10 minutes. Like your list, there is a lot to choose from. Thanks for posting. Stopping by from One Project at a Time.

I like the minute challenge because sometimes you sit and think about doing something for longer than it would take you to actually do it!

I’ve learned this as I’ve gotten older. When we were painting our house I only did a wall at a time. Used to be I could do the whole room but I’ve learned to pace myself and the work still gets done LOL !!!! And I appreciate the fact that we still can do it ourselves. Blessings. I love these reminders of what I can get done in the time it takes me to analyze if I want to do something or not! It gives me such a sense of accomplishment when I can get a few things cleared, organized or put away. Thanks for sharing at What’d You Do This Weekend.

This is a great list! I often get to the end of the day and feel like I’ve accomplished nothing, but I’ve actually been busy all day. I would add “send an encouraging email or text” to the list. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for this post. With two young girls, one who is 3 going on 13 and the other under the age of one, it’s very easy to get overwhelmed and feel like you can never get anything done. This post reminds me that there’s always something you can do with those rare 5 minute intervals!

This is a great list! Simple and yet very effective as well. I’m a big TV junkie; but I love commercials because I always get up and do a quick task during those few minutes. It does really help me feel more accomplished at the end of the day.
