I love to read. It is one of my simple pleasures and one I do every single day.
These are the 17 books I’m reading in 2017.

Joyous Health: Eat and Live Well Without Dieting – Joy McCarthy
I’m on a journey to better health this year and this caught my eye in the bookstore.
The Hands-On Home: A Seasonal Guide To Cooking, Preserving & Natural Homekeeping – Erica Strauss
Erica has a lovely blog and I can’t wait to dive into her book about homemaking, homesteading and her delicious recipes.
Mud, Sweat and Tears: The Autobiography – Bear Grylls
I am a fan of Bear Grylls and his t.v shows. I bought this book for my husband, but I’m excited to read it too!
Cleaning House: A Mom’s Twelve-Month Experiment To Rid Her Home Of Youth Entitlement – Kay Wills Wyma
I’m looking forward to reading how Kay challenged her children to learn new skills and the results at the end of the year.
The Reading Promise: My Father and the Books We Shared – Alice Ozma
I love the idea behind this book and am interested to read about their relationship.
Simply Clean: The Proven Method For Keeping Your Home Organized, Clean and Beautiful in Just 10 Minutes A Day – Becky Rapinchuk
Becky’s new book is out in March. I am curious about her schedule for keeping the house clean in just 10 minutes a day.
The Total Money Makeover: Classic Edition: A Proven Plan For Financial Fitness – Dave Ramsey
I enjoy reading personal finance books and have listened to Dave’s radio show and like his common sense approach to finances. I first read this book three years ago and thought it was time to read it again.
Money Making Mom – Crystal Paine
I have read Crystal’s work from when she was writing her first blog. I like the way she writes and I’m sure this will be full of great ideas and encouragement.
The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth: Live Them and Reach Your Potential – John C. Maxwell
This book was recommended by a friend and I’m sure it will be an excellent read on personal development.
Bread and Wine: A Love Letter to Life Around The Table with Recipes – Shauna Niequist
I was searching for books online and this book caught my attention. It’s a collection of essays about family relationships, friendships and the meals that bring us together.
Fiction
A Faraway Smell of Lemon – Rachel Joyce
This book was recommended to me by another blogger and it sounds like it will be a delight to read.
Range of Motion: A Novel – Elizabeth Berg
I have enjoyed Elizabeth’s other books that I have read and I’m sure this will not disappoint.
The Whistler – John Grisham
I love John Grisham’s stories and characters. This one was received as a Christmas gift and will be added to my collection.
Dear Mr. Knightley – Katherine Reay
This book appeals to me because of the classic literature references and because it’s written through letters.
Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them: The Original Screenplay – J. K. Rowling
I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter series and was so excited to receive this as a birthday gift. I debated reading it right away, but really wanted to see the movie first. I saw the movie in November (it was excellent) and I’m excited to get started on this book now.
The Glass Lake by Maeve Binchy
One of my absolute favourite books by one of my favourite authors. I have read this many times and it always pulls at my heartstrings.
The Forgotten Garden – Kate Morton
One that came to my attention when searching on Amazon.

I have enjoyed all of Kate Morton books – I do hope you do to.
Have you read The unlikely pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce I really enjoyed this book. Sadly my library doesn’t have the one you listed 🙁
I have not Jo, but I will add it to my list for this year. I just checked and my local library does have a copy. Thanks for the recommendation. Have a wonderful week.
